Multimedia Designer Role Overview

As a Multimedia Designer for the Engagement and Media Relations branch of the Office of Science Policy, Engagement, Education, and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual narrative and enhancing communication strategies. This position involves designing and creating diverse multimedia assets that captivate audiences and effectively convey complex scientific information.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Content Creation

Design and produce engaging assets for social media platforms, including posts, reels, motion graphics, animations, videos, and static banners.

Develop creative concepts that align with the office’s mission and resonate with the target audience.

Email Campaigns and Visual Communication

Create impactful email campaigns and templates that drive engagement and maintain consistent branding.

Design infographics and data visualizations to simplify complex data and enhance understanding.

Support for Leadership

Develop multimedia assets tailored for Directors and top leadership to support strategic initiatives and presentations.

Collaborate on the design and layout for data visualizations, ensuring clarity and visual appeal.

Explainer Videos and Presentations

Design explainer videos for data visualizations to facilitate easier comprehension of scientific data and findings.

Create compelling presentations, storyboards, and concepts to support various communication efforts.

Collaboration and Innovation

Stakeholder Engagement

Foster stronger relationships with outside departments and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and collaborative project execution.

Research and Development

Continuously research and forecast new trends, ideas, styles, and techniques in multimedia design to keep the office at the forefront of innovation.

Introduce and integrate innovative methods into existing projects to enhance their effectiveness and appeal.
